杜氏於二零零四年獲得劉元生和演藝學院獎學金赴香港演藝學院修讀深造文憑和音樂榮譽學士學位，並於二零一二年完成小提琴表演碩士學位，師從演藝學院弦樂系主任馬忠為教授。杜氏曾參加不同音樂團體演出，多次參加演藝學院管弦樂團同巴洛克弦樂團並任首席，並於其它專業樂團任樂師包括香港小交響樂團，香港城市室樂團，香港管弦樂團，香港愛樂團，香港弦樂團等，亞洲青年管弦樂團等。 杜氏自幼學習小提琴，於九八年以優異成績考入武漢音樂學院附中修讀小提琴演奏，師承張金洲教授。在校期間多次武漢管弦樂團巡迴演出及在該校舉辦的小提琴比賽中獲得優秀獎，並同年獲得資格參加柴可夫斯國際小提琴比賽中國選撥賽。曾師從多個中西小提琴教育家包括: Kurt Sassmannshaus, Piotr Milewski, Marina Chiche, Lu Wei, Tong Weidong, Xu Weilin, Lin Yaoji, Wang Hong, Zhu Dan, Great Wall String Quartet, American String Quartet, Chilingirian String Quartet等。杜氏有豐富教學經驗，並於香港各大中小學任教，學生於英國皇家考試，聖三一音樂學院考試同香港校際比賽取得優異成績。 Lan Du started studying violin at a very early age, and in 1998, was accepted into the Wuhan Conservatory of Music Middle School with excellent marks. While at the Wuhan Conservatory, she studied classical violin performance with Jing Zhou Zhang, toured extensively with the Wuhan Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, and was given the Special Award of the Wuhan Conservatory Violin Competition on numerous occasions. In 2004, she was awarded a scholarship by the Y.S.Liu Foundation as well as the Non-Local Student Scholarship by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where she attained an Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's Degree and Master Degree under the tutelage of Michael Ma, the Head of string department. Among the many festivals and orchestras in which Lan Du has participated include: the Asian Youth Orchestra, the Great Wall Summer Music Festival, the Hong Kong City Chamber Orchestra, the HK Philharmonic, the HK Sinfonietta, the HKSAR Orchestra, and the HKAPA Baroque Chamber Orchestra. In addition, she has served as the concertmaster of the HKAPA Symphony Orchestra. Notable musicians with whom she has studied include: Kurt Sassmannshaus, Piotr Milewski, Marina Chiche, Lu Wei, Tong Weidong, Xu Weilin, Lin Yaoji, Wang Hong, Zhu Dan, Great Wall String Quartet, American String Quartet, Chilingirian String Quartet, etc. Lan Du is currently freelancer working with the HK Sinfonietta and the HK City Chamber Orchestra, and has six years teaching experience working in several primary schools and music institutions.
